| This is the Washington Monument. As the title says, this is much taller than I thought. I had seen this on television and it seems smaller on TV. I tried getting a different picture than your typical kind of postcard photo. I wanted the flags and people in the picture to show scale. I took the photo with the sun behind the monument just to add some visual appeal. I did not realize that the jet trail was in the pic until I saw the picture on the computer. Not sure if it adds or detracts from the pic. BTW, I highly recommend Washington as a tourist destination if you like museums, history, art. The Newseum was especially enjoyable. Also, I found it to be a very friendly, clean and safe city. |
