[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Point of interest in the evening celebration of Fauquier County's 250th Anniversary.

This girl was with some friends who tried in vain to get her to draw with the chalk and she wouldn't. Then one of them challenged her, "I bet you can't write your name in block letters..." I thought to myself—there is no way that is going to work on her. But to my surprise she grabbed a piece of chalk and started chalking away.

More shots posted to workshop.

I really like the angle here. Two things I wish were different: the telephone pole growing out of her head, and her hidden face. Her hair is so bright and distinctive, it's only fair to show her face with it.

I know you didn't have a say in it, but I love the contrast between her hair and her clothes.

I like this one much better than the last chalk photo.

I like the off balance angle of this photo, it would have been less interesting photographed straight on. What makes it work so well is the vibrant fall of her hair which almost matches the brick, and its contrast to the blue in her jeans, shirt and the road. I also liked the second workshop with the guy who dared her to write on the road, except it appears a little noisy on my monitor, not as sharp as this one.

Her writing is as lovely as she looks. haha
Good clear picture, Michael.
Well seen and taken.
Cheers from Jan

Hi Michael..I like this shot..the tilt gives an interesting perspective and the details and colors are great.

Roger

I really like the angle that this was taken also. Her hair is awesome! The fact that you don't see her face gives it a little mystery :)

Hello Michael,
Captivating mixture of street photography and a candid daily life shot.
The tilt and the intense colours give this picture a kind of vibe that perfectly fits with its theme.
Nice work!
TFS & kind regards,
Erik
