[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The South Pacific is one of my favorite places on Earth. Travelling on business, I saw the sunrise out my room window and regardless of quality I wanted the memory of that serene moment. Since that time I lost many shots in a fire. This is one I could save. It has some water damage but to me it brings back that moment in a place faraway on a small atoll in the Marshall Islands.
Color saturation
some cloning to cover water damage
sharpenning
added text for postcard effect
Hope you enjoy

What a story! I would have knocked off a smiley for some of the issues I see in this photo, but, in light of what I just learned, you get a reprieve!

There seems to be quite a bit of noise here. Especially from a film scan, you should be able to get really great sharpness.

Your palm tree is underexposed, too. You could either go completely silhouetted, or add some brightness to the tree. I think I'd prefer to see more detail in the tree.

Your colors are wonderful. The sky is great: well exposed, great light, and good clouds to add interest. You probably don't know what your shutter speed was, being a 16 year old photo, but I like it. Some like longer shutter speeds to blur the water, some like shorter shutter speeds to freeze the water, I make my decision based on the situation and like your work here.

Thanks for letting me ramble.
