A nice composition with these crosses wonderfully lighted taking in consideration the heavy grey clouds!

Hi Frieda,
the grey sky and the white crosses together with the well-lit trees and the very green grass - well seen and presented.
The sky reminds us of what those soldiers did for freedom.
A sad theme, but a good image.

I am impressed with this image - perfectly composed. You show the curves of the crosses so well, and the stormy sky is more emphasised because of the white crosses.
And don't those 2 large trees stand out well too?

Je hebt het moment mooi uitgezocht: een stemmige zwarte lucht er boven. Die kruisjes komen er erg mooi uit zo. Goed belicht, en er zijn zelfs nog schaduwen te zien.

Hallo Frieda,
Mooie foto van het Amerikaans kerkhof in Margraten.
Veel symboliek in je compositie: de ophelderende witte kruisen (van de 'helden', helaas gesneuveld) en de sterk contrasterende donkere wolken/lucht (dood).
Een plaats om eerbiedig en in stilte a.h.w. door de geschiedenis te lopen en ons nog eens te bezinnen.

Trés belle composition et jolie couleur.

sehr schönes Foto. Die Wetter-Stimmung ist wirklich toll - auch wenn es ein bedrückender Ort ist. Wir müssen uns immer wieder vor Augen führen, dass Kriege sinnlos sind und nur Leid bedeuten.

Une image très forte qui soulève quelques souvenirs.
Le contraste entre les couleurs claires et le ciel foncé augmente cette impression dramatique.
Le cadrage à ras le sol est aussi une bonne idée pour accentuer cet effet.
