Hello Derek,
Yes, the people do add scale to your shot and this is a big tree! It is interesting in its very upward stance and its ability to have 'resting' sections.
A very good pov with the road assisting the gaze and the tree perfectly placed in the frame. The hill, shrouded in the b/g, makes the tree seem even more impressive.
Sharply detailed and good colours.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Derek.
Je personnage donne un bon comparatif pour donné la dimension a cet arbre.
Les contrastes et couleurs sont superbe et l’ensemble de l’image parfaitement composée avec splendide ciel nuageux à souhait.
Félicitation.
Bonne journée.
Urs

Hi Derek
That tree is awesome, and I like how it blocks the peak of Rangitoto. Colours are first rate, humans add scale to show us the size of this fine tree.

Hello Derek!
Another fantastic picture in your gallery!
Wonderful tree and lovely atmosphere!
Great colours and good detail here!
Best regards!
Lili
I like those 2 models Derek. They look really good!!
The tree is a Macrocarpa, imported originally from Southern California - they can grow to quite impressive sizes and shapes too.
Unfortunately your water levels are crooked - it tilts to the left :(
Yes, it was a good day out with you - and I'm pleased we ended up here at North Head...
Good shot for the theme

Hi Derek,
impressive shape and impressive way you made this tree standing out against the sky. Blue and green is always the perfect combination, to me, no exception here where the the green popping out so nicely has brought a lot of life in the compo. I like the choice of the vertical format, the way you composed it with the 2 girls giving a sense of scale. Very nice presentation indeed.
Thanks and regards,
Ele
Hi Derek

Hello Derek,
I especially like the bottom half of the frame. Lovely sensuous curve from the distant mountain, the inclusion of the people really spices the scene, and yes the tree looks regal. I do like this week's theme. Earth can use more trees. Cheers. Danilo

Wicked photo Derek. The people next to the trunk really put the tree into perspective. The vertical crop works very well and the blue sky is a perfect background to bring out the sharp details. Love the tones in this shot, nicely presented too. Well done.
TFS,
Scott.

HI Derek
The lady looks so small next to that gigantic tree.
I love how you composed the shot to make the tree look so
impressive against that sky.

Nice capture - an impressive tree, even if it is blocking the iconic view of Rangitoto. Good capture of colours - you caught this at the right time, from the right angle, and it looks great.
