[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Built as a Howard reform prison in 1823, this building is the only existing example of its kind in Scotland. The museum has a small display of items relating to 19th century prison life and collections relating to the history of the Royal Burgh of Jedburgh. The Jail was built within the the ruins of a earlier Castle giving rise to it's name. This shot only shows two parts of the jail the other is on the left out of shot but is a replica of the building on the right.
All I have done is sharpened and re-sized I hope that you like it and feel free to leave critiques.

Hi Jon,
Supreme POV with this shot, looks like a very nice old castle, wonderfully preserved all these years later. Great sandcastle-like design. You've complimented it well with the subtle lighting and shadows, aswell as the soft greens to break up the predominance of pastel-like colours from the castle. Well photographed.

TFS,
Scott.

Bonjour Jon.
Splendide château qui me conviendrait très bien comme habitation.
Un patrimoine à préservé et tu as commencé par en présentant cette belle photo.
Félicitation.
Bonne journée.
Urs

Hi Jon,
A nice wide angle perspective!
Lighting is adequate and sharpness is there!
A pleasing shot of this castle neatly presented!
Soft sky and cast all over!
Well done.

Hi Jon,
Nice shot of this structure, it is clear and the subtle colours are superb. TFS. Bri

Nice one Jon. I like the slight distortion here from your lens. Colors are great too. Great job.
Your country is so full of these wonderful old historical buildings ... North America is just a baby compared to your part of the world!!

Great capture Jon, probably look really good in sepia too.

Excellent sharpness to the image and point of view is spot on.

And what an amazing blue sky. Hard to believe its Jedburgh.

Hi Jon,
looks like it was a very bright day, with a chance of overexposure happening if one wasn't careful, & you were careful , good capture with sharp details, & a perfect POV.

Regards

Ron

I love your processing on this Jon!! The levels are really nice. You got nice warm earthy colors going on here! That's a prison?? I could break outta there in less than an hour! AHA! Nice work!
B-)

HI Jon
Being a reform prison I guess that is why it acccounts for no bars.
Its a beautiful architecture and you've done it justice.

Hi Jon,
Sorry I haven’t commented on your work lately, having problems with the old computer… Like me, getting old and slow… LOL
But I wanted to let you know I was really impressed with this photo… Not much I can say now about it that others haven’t… But I did do a little workshop on it… Hope you like it…
Tfs
Sincerely,
Den
