We spent a few hours at the zoo. She was very upset leaving the zoo, and tired too. Much to her parents dismay she didn't even nap when she got home.

Hello Cassandra,

Such a sweet girl! So, tired poor child!! I like the b&w here.

I just felt there are too many distractions in the photo though.

I did you a w/s where I croped the unescessary surroundings, gave her an orange filter, sharpened and framed it.

Hope you like it

Regards

Karen

You've captured her emotion very well. Here the B&W doesn't detract from the scene. I like your POV and depth of field. Everything inside the car is sharp and clear, while what is outside the car is blurred or softened. It keeps your eye focused on the foreground. The natural lighting gives nice shadow effects to contrast the light color of her top against her skin. Karen's workshop does a good job of turning a scene into a portrait. That part is all software post-processing, and it will take some time to explore what is possible with your software. I have other packages if you needs something with more bells-and-whistles. For now, you are on the right track. In order to get a post-processed masterpiece, you need to start with a great photo (which you seem to have the nack of capturing).
