another from my recent trip to the conservation reserve.
i think this is a red damselfly. if you know different please let me know.

as it was photographed next to the pond i can only guess that it had not long hatched.

shot in raw. cropped and bordered in cs3. tweaked in viveza.

Not really a macro, but indeed a superb close-up view of this little visitor.
