Just a little view of my little city!

There is a river that bisects my city diagonally, from the southwest corner to the northeast corner. They've done a great job here of preventing development from creeping right down to the banks of the river, therefore allowing for public access.

There's a paved trail that runs the length of the river on either side (juuust visible at the bottom of this shot), and lots of bridges, so you can pick and choose the length of your hike. My current loop (increased from last summer) is around 9 kilometers. The trails are heavily used by locals and visitors alike, for jogging, walking, rollerblading, biking, or just a relaxing stroll to see the sites!

The river itself is used by canoe and kayak enthusiasts, also the odd jetski or motor boat. No swimming though .. very dangerous strong currents. It's likely not very clean either:)

The building on the extreme left is called the Delta Bessborough Hotel. It was built between 1928-1932, and is one of the many hotels built across the country by the Canadian National Railway. It's definitely the most wellknown landmark of this city. (what you see here is the back of the hotel).

Come for a visit .. you won't be sorry you did!

Ciao Trudy

The panoramic you did to your city
Enough for my walk. I could read
the roadmap and go walking by the beautiful view of
city.
I also could see tracks that are all
the city, helping people to your sports!
A nice POV and beautiful vision of the city!
The city is beautiful, and enjoy this beauty!

Sergio

Hi Trudy

So that's what Saskatoon looks like! Good colour, sharpness, framing & saturation, with a gorgeous blue sky, reflected in the river. A little oe, in the clouds top right. Tfs!

Hello Trudy,
A lovely composition of this cityscape from across the river!
Beautiful colors adorned with very good lighting and sharpness.
A fantastic scenery neatly presented in an elegant frame.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hi Trudy,
Great cityscape! Nice combination of both older and newer buildings, the green trees really freshen up this shot with the vivid and natural greens they produce. The water adds to the mood too. Is that a guy a see down the bottom with a dog? Excellent scene you've captured.

TFS,
Scott.

Nice landscape, really conveys the impression of a beautiful city. The green+river and the buildings are a nice contrast - well done.
TFS, and have a nice day
Robert

The more i look at your pictures of Saskatoon Trudy , the more i find it interesting , i mean look at the skyline and the greenery along the river bank , there's a pleasant feel in the air i get from the view here, you ought to be proud of being one of its dwellers , i get to know it better, its layout and size , btw what's the population as it seems to be quite large with all these buildings ? TFS amiga,
Carol
