[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
this is dean. he works in the store room where i work.

this posting is way outside my comfort zone.
the reason i am trying this style is because i have been asked to photograph a friend and his colleague so they can put the pics up on their office wall. they work in design so the pic needs to reflect that.
i am trying out new styles and will see what they prefer.

all c and c's welcome.

just a matter of tastes, i'm quite disapointed by the framing,
the model looks good, and the PP is interesting (i like high keys processings)

I like this Brian , interesting style quite like 'duotone ' which i fancy doing om my PC but have never dared to display on the site, i would like to discern the outline of the face down from your subject's left eye as this side merges into the white BG though , other than that it is well presented, the pose is great ,
pretty good indeed,
Regards, C

I love high key shots like this Brian! Very nice natural look for him! VERY artistic, didn't know you were the artsy-fartsy type! HAHA! This is good! They will love it!

I would never have guessed this was one of yours, Brian. I think it's a gutsy post, to do something so far away from your norm and out of your comfort zone.

And I believe this one works. The composition, the tilt, the pp work, the expression - all very good and the slight stubble is a nice feature.

Beautifull highkey portrait....nice lighting, nice dark tones and flush whites...that's the way to do it...Some people think that a high key portrait is simply done by raising the exposure, when in fact what's needed to be raise, is the contrast. To be effective you need dark tones. Very nice job.

Hi Brian

Very different shot for you.
Not easy to produce something different for guys but this looks good and modern.
Well done for taking on a difficult challange.

Hi Brian
I love this portrait; the dynamic and strong crop, the strong light, the high contrast with the dark wet air, the excellent sharpness... very, very good.
Regards, mb

Brian,

Terrific duo tone post! This is "right up my alley" as we say in the U.S. (I LIKE it). Nice angle of the pose and his hair and eyes are terrific in this shot. They will really enjoy it. Great job... :) Lisa

Extraordenairy stuff my dear fellow!!
It reminds me to the work of Anton Corbijn, the Dutch icon in pop-photography,with his best time in the punk and new-wave scene, good portrait SIR.
