[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
St Michael Archangel Church in the town of Smarden in Kent. Built in the 14th century at the time when Edward III granted Smarden a charter elevating it from village to town status. The area’s wealth came from the woollen trade, and Smarden is close to the Romney Marshes – an area still know for it’s sheep farming. The church was restored and enlarged by the Victorian architect Joseph Clarke in 1869.
The small towns and villages of this part of Kent are largely unspoilt and are quintessentially English.

Hi Leslie, I like this wide angle shot, gives for a great composition, good sharp details & a vibrant sky.Is this an Hdr image? I like the details of the church building & the inclusion of the large gravestone at the left adds even more punch & balance .

I appreciate your subtle use of HDR which doesnt shout "I am HDR" but simply enhances the shot. I ahev just returned from Bromley in Kent and have been impressed with the delightful villages and countryside. Good jonb
