A rose for a castle

Re-post

Yesterday’s image had a nasty flaw in it, the walls of the castle appeared not to be straight and level. So I adjusted it. I have no clue what caused it, although I took this picture in portrait shape and cropped the bottom part. This time used the perspective crop to get the walls straight again.

Below the note as written at the original posting:

Today Saturday June 13th, I went with my new buddy D300 to the castle of De Haar. The weather was gorgeous (maybe even too gorgeous) so I went early and found the castle rose garden without disturbing photographers :-)

Although the castle was under reconstruction (It always happens when I'm visiting ancient buildings) the front site was reasonable acceptable for viewing.

Well took this one with the use of my tripod and a maximum f-stop of f/22 to create a deep DOF. Adjusted the highlight and shadows a bit, removed a nasty yellow container with the clonetool, (perspective)cropped and framed.

Check the Map:[view] it gives a nice idea how the castle looks from above. Use the zoom to have a closer look.

Hi Hans,
Yes, this is straight now. :) Good solution with the cropping, the composition as a whole and its colours are still very nice. TFS.
Greetings,
Kristof

Bonjour Hans.
Bon dimanche.
Urs

It has a majestic look Hans, pity it was being renovated.. this version with straight walls is much better ;) thanks

HI Hans,
An amazing image. I like the large square format and the colors, especially of the flowers in the foreground are absolutely stunning. An impressive perspective to show this amazing castle. Very well seen and TFS. Gerald

Very proffional pp work on it.
Nooit gezien.! Prachtig bouwwerk.
Groeten, Jan

I like how you did this Hansie! The Rose up front gives the whole picture a sense of depth that you don't get with just shooting the castle! Nice processing, the reds are super rich! The clarification is just right on this, really nice work!

Hallo Hans
Zeer mooie overzichtsfoto.
Gr Jos

Excellent--the beautiful old castle on the BG, those intensely red roses on the FG. Great scene.
