Colours and sharpness are good.
I don't quite feel comfortable with your post-work, it seems a little odd, the "paintbrush" black around his face. I wonder if this portrait should actually keep its context?
I also wonder if it would be more powerful with his eyes towards the camera - if not directly connecting, at least a little less averted than they are here?
See the work of Manuj Mehta for examples of how powerful and effective that can be!
Also - a couple of 'hot spots' on the side of his face and nose, where the reflected light is too bright and the skin detail has been lost.

Hi Usaf
A superb portrait and a rugged looking frame around a rugged looking face. He looks like he has lived a working man's life and has the wrinkles to show for it.
Thanks for sharing.
Phil
Hi Usaf,
From the title you chose, the PP work you did and the note you wrote (Is it a quote or did you made it up?), I cannot figure out what your intention was with this image. I have the feeling that you do not like this photo. Or perhaps for some reason, it does not speak to you (maybe that's why you gave it the title "Unknown".
I have read your reply to rewshearer. I agree that it is very hard to have your subject look towards the camera, especially when you don't want him to know that you are taking his picture and lose the natural effect. The fact that is is not facing the camera does not bother me. The harshness of the image (colour, highlights, detail on neck) does.
As for blown highlights, underexposing a bit would have prevented it somewhat. Too late now but I think that in this case, your photo would look better in black and white. I did a workshop, please take a look.
Please note that when writing on TL, complete words for "YOU", "ARE", etc. are better. Hope you don't mind me telling you that.

your work is good except OE in some part, Usaf.. the only thing that i don't like here is the brush like frame.. it ruined the strong potrait of the man.. anyway good try though..
there is no rule in tl that you cannot write short form of some words.. for me it is ok.. tfs.. keep on practising.. just like me too i need lot of practising this kind of shot.. i like Rew explanation here..
regards, terry
Hi Usaf - I really like the fact that you have tried to produce something different. The brush strokes are a good idea but a little strong, try reducing the opacity of the layer so that the background shows through. AS for your subject, the there is plenty of character in your image, the strong colour plus the detail of his wrinkles adds to the overall effect. I don't think "blown highlights" [being only small] make any difference to the strength of this portrait.
