[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Just a picture taken last summer in a friend's garden afer a lovely barbecue at their house. They had some impressive sunflowers and I took some shots as it was getting dark, using on-camera flash. It was becoming cooler and this lazy bee was sitting on the flower doing nothing very much.

Shot in RAW and converted and edited in PSE6.

Hi John, this is a beauty! Fantastic details on the flower and the lazy bee ... love your composition .. or choice of cropping. Taking the shot late in the day has provided a nice dark background. Great job.

hello John,
I like the compo/crop here. It appeals to the artistic in me (written with a smile). The colour and form of the petals is very appealing.The bee is a bonus but this could have worked without it. Having scrolled through several pages this is my favourite and stood out as a thumbnail even before I saw your name.

This is a fine macro!
I love the textures and tones of the curling petals. They look super against the dark b/g.
A well-judged crop, perfectly positioned in the frame.

Perhaps the bee was just hanging around waiting for a bit of the barbecue!
