Without a doubt, the most difficult car to shoot.
It radiates its own light, reflecting everywhere which really tricks the camera's meter.
I got round it by using my ever trusted Custom white balance setting.
I never go anywhere without my Kodak White card now.
Having set the custom setting earlier in the morning, i was comparing between several different white balance settings on each pass of the Brawn cars, and without a doubt, custom won. I switched from sports mode automatic, to Custom white balance manual, and set aperture priority.
i wanted a fairly full "in focus" car from nose to tail, so opted for a relatively small aperture (I reckon anything from 7.1 - 11 on the Canon 70-200 is the optimum with falling off at the edges using the 2xTC)
I upped the ISO to 400 to allow a really fast shutter speed to stop the action, taking into account the speed of the car moving towards me would affect focus speed of the camera, especially with the TC attached. Polarizing filter removed to increase light.
Hand held, Cropped in aspect ratio to remove unwanted space.
Slight tweaking on levels and noise reduced.
Typical USM settings, and resized for upload.

Hello Martin,
Indeed a very difficult car to shoot. Personally i wouldn`t have removed the polarizer cause it would have made the white colour a lot whiter.
The increase of light i would established bij lowering the shutterspeed a lot. 1/2000 is way over the top. Don`t get me wrong, i like this picture but the final result could be a little better.
