Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you all had a fine w/e.
Today, I am posting a shot which I hope shows the beauty of the countryside of the Loire. This is just a field of cereal crops and yet, to me, the green plants displayed a co-ordinated pattern of movement that was breathtakingly beautiful.

To the right of the field is an interesting stone wall which surrounded the yard and garden of the nearby farm, and, of course, there are the poppies.

We stayed in a gite at an old farm which was lovely and we were able to use it as base for investigating all the surrounding countryside.

Many thanks for your interest.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

hi beverley
you must be having a great holiday, great shot to me the slightly out of focus helps to bring eye further into the shot and the wall and tree add a bit of of colour and interest.

Absolutly beautiful work.

Hi Bev
This nice shot shows us how the nature continues its life beside manmade wall!
Those red pupies are really amazing, and also light blue of sky
Best wishes
Alireza

Hi Beverley,
This capture gains merit regarding POV!
The blurred foreground of the wheat field is increasing DOF and the corner by the wall with red poppies is increasing impact to the compo!
The right side diagonal wall emerging in the perspectice is still increasing DOF.
A nice simple composition wonderfully seen by your artistis eyes through the camera.
Good job and presentation.
Best regards,

Francis Xavier

hello beverley

beautiful country landscape
the light is very beautiful
al the picture nooze to holyday
hav a nice day

Good morning,
The artistic interpretation of the landscape is a beauty. The countryside appears like it could very well be in Maryland or Virginia. This is exactly how I would compose the scene if I were there, but perhaps I would also experiment on a higher f/setting, a polarizer to enhance further th blue sky, and a focus on the f/g to provide sharp details on the cereal crops' panicles and stems. My best regards dear...

Bonsoir Beverley
The cherry on the cake; it is what we say in french for the best plus. Here the poppies are the cherries, and it is the same colour.
When corn will be ripe and blond, you will have to come back to take another beautiful picture.NO doubt, poppies will wait you, I swear !
Good evening

Hi Bev,

I'm sorry but I don't view this image in the same high regard as the others,I can understand why you would want to capture this landscape, but I don't understand why there is so little details of the wheat field, IMHO I would have thought a sharp foreground showing the crops detail, would have more impact than the blurred foreground,no?

A very pretty scene, nice composition, colors and detail. I really like the blurred fg, I think it does lead our eye back into the picture, also adds movement. TFS

Hi Beverley

Good use of a shallow dof, with excellent fg bokeh on the unripe grain. I like the muted colours, & simple, uncomplicated composition. The red flowers add a subtle splash of warm colours. Well done!

Hi Bev!
Wonderful scene of landscape, with amazing green,
nice poppies, blue sky and a great perspective!
