Hi Imran - If this is a photograph of you and was taken by someone else, it should not be on Treklens as per the Terms of Service. If it was taken with a self timer, you should say so in your photographer's note - that's one reason why notes are encouraged in the site guidelines.
As to the shot itself, it's not very good, I'm afraid. The subject is very central, the head is bang in the middle (think "rule of thirds") and there are exposure issues. It's just a bit like a tourist snapshot taken by someone with a compact "point and shoot".
The 40D is a good camera, capable of better than this.
Sorry to be discouraging, but welcome to Treklens anyway, and hope you can learn a little something from this site.
Hi Imran
This is your best photo yet. I presume you took it yourself with a tripod and self timer?
If you want to receive feedback on your photos, may I suggest a photographer's note to talk about your work?
Your photo does not “speak for itself.” A photographer's note gives viewers an idea of what you wanted to achieve, how you tried to achieve it, and will allow them to offer more helpful critiques.
