I just came back from this incredible alpine meadows in Manning Park. This is the entrance to one of the many trails around the top of these mountains which are littered with alpine colors. Not quite in bloom yet as the flowers bloom in August but the views from here was amazing.

I was with friends and family just walking around for a little while so I was only hand holding but still had to post something from this place.

There is a 30 mile hike that scales the mountain tops here with three places to camp along the way. My brother and I are planning to do this hike in the suggested three days. An incredible place, I think it was about 2000 feet above sea level...beautiful BC!

Thanks,
Scott

dear Scott,
this naming of "PAINTBRUSH TRAIL" is great.
the natural mountains view looks quite picturesque, and
once maybe the God painted it by big brush, and now that trace remains there as the trail...
anyway, splendid panorama and humorous sign make interesting and beautiful scene here.
thank you for your excellent shot,
Akihisa

What a nice hike! And think of the photo ops! This is very nice, love the inclusion of the sign here! The details in the gravel under it are really nice and sharp! I'm very suprised at F5.6 that you get this kind of sharpness! Can't wait to see more!

Very scenic Scott. There is good depth for f/5.6, but I do wonder how it would look with a higher f stop. The composition is to my liking and I don't have suggestions of improving it. The off-centered cross and the sharp grasses and stones rightfully adorn the scene well. Best regards.

Hello Scott, a well composed shot with the diagonal of the fg leading us to the distant mountains.
I like the shapes and colours of the mountains, they add a lot to the shot.
Sounds like a good place to visit.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Quite an adventure to climb that high. Clean air and feeling good ....... I suppose at that altitude, you escaped the heatwave that has momentarily held your area in its grip.
Cheers
