Grande Arche de la Fraternité, Paris
Another shot of that very interesting place :)
La Grande Arche de la Fraternité is a monument and building in the business district of La Défense. It is known as the Arche de la Défense or La Grande Arche.
The structure is almost a perfect cube.
Width: 108m,
height: 110m,
depth: 112m.
It has been suggested that the structure looks like a four-dimensional hypercube (a tesseract) projected onto the three-dimensional world. It has a prestressed concrete frame covered with glass and Carrara marble from Italy and was built by the French civil engineering company Bouygues.
La Grande Arche was inaugurated in July 1989, with grand military parades that marked the biecentennial of the French revolution.
It completed the line of monuments that forms the Axe historique running through Paris.
In 1990 on Bastille Day famous French composer Jean Michel Jarre staged concert at the site. He used the Grande Arche and three of the area's towers as projection screens, and building a pyramidal stage above the road. The concert titled 'Paris la Defense' attracted two million spectators, stretching all the way back to the Arc de Triomphe. This beat Jarre's own previous world record for the largest attendance for a musical concert. |

Hi Jolanta
Another wonderful composition of this modern architecture with superb details.
I think you have made OE on the sky but its not discount your image beauty, just I mention it as a technical weakness.
Best wishes

dear Jolanta,
this picture is most simple but tasteful in your late series of photos.
there is almost not perspective effect, but graphic interesting is very tasteful.
this pattern reminds me of works of Paul Klee.
and lots of lines also remind me of paintings of Bernard Buffet.
anyway this feeling of collage of fragments is wonderful.
thank you for your excellent shot,
Akihisa
