A simple view across the 'Lon' a small body of water connected to the Fjardara river that cascades down the mountain behind but enclosed within bridges, the majestic 17 km long 'Seydisfjordur' a long fjord that exits in the sea is in full view beyond to the east , yes the village of 750 souls has a very picturesque setting indeed and it is the very one place to visit if you have only a day or two in the region called the Eastfjords .A year-round ferry carrying vehicules and passengers of course makes the crossing from Bergen, Norway stopping in the Faroes , Denmark along the way .
As seen in the photo the clouds seem to roll down the mountainside toward the village , they hung in there attached , glued to the top for a long time , some rain fell during my visit but the scenery along the fjord and in the village itself way compensated the weather hazards !
1/200, iso 80 , f/5 , i chose a panoramic format here , converted to B&W , contrasted , sharpened and framed,
Thank you for looking,
Carol

Good morning Carol ... what a view, with those clouds "glued" to the top of the mountain. Fantastic reflections in the calm water.
I this case, I thought it might be nice to make this a symmetrical shot and have the horizon centered. So I took the liberty of playing with your photo a little .. I've done a workshop ... I hope you don't mind Carol.
Nice observation on this one my friend.

ciao Carol..
compo is perfect.. the horizontal crop confers a great atmosfere.. with sense of free spaces..
interesting filter.. it's so well combinated with the reflection on the water..
definitely an excellent job!
thanks
ciao Marco

Hi Carol
The B&W works well here. It really draws our attention to the line of houses that are so crisp and clear.
Well done.
Phil

Hi, Carol -
Beautiful scene with very sharp details and a great reflection on the glassy surface of the water. The successive horizontal layers of water, reflection, houses, mountains and clouds look fantastic. Wonderful tones. Nice image.
