[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi guys i was playing around with my small canon G10 over the weekend
trying to be creative with this little camera ,using the light behind the cliff
i managed to get one with the sun at the top of the shot which made for a great photo.

Hi Darren,
Nice shot, the tree has diffused the sun very well. I originally thought it was haloing when I saw the thumbnail, but it's clearly just the flare of the sun. Glad you got to make use of the good weather we had today. I see you took this at Howick, which beach was it? Fine job with the vertical crop, the colours look great.

TFS,
Scott.

Nice one Darren, well captured, smooth sky gradations, nice point of view

Hi Darren,

This look almost perfect to me.Or you're quite close to it. Real nice quality pic.

The colors looks very good, right balance. Good greys, including the light ones. Wonderfull details in the cliff. Very good shadow details...well control hightlight and background scene.
As a preference, I would add a touch more density to the black, using selective color, under photoshopCS3. That way if won't affect the highlights of the shade area, actually the contrast will make them stand up even more..)) Try it, just for fun.
I had done a workshop on it, it would have been easier to show you my point of view, but that option in your profil is unactive.
But at the end, a great shot...Nice shoot.

Hi Darren,

Very nice composition,
The light around the corner on the beach is very beautiful, gives a nice sparkling on the water and shadow on the ground. Well done!
Regards, Marga

Nice shot. I think we came up with the same POV, at the same time, when we both took our shots. Your Canon G10 is a great camera...!

Cris

Hi, Darren,
Wonderfully done! I love backlighting and you've done a great job with it here. The beach curves beautifully in the FG and the foliage makes lovely shadows. Very nicely balanced and excellent natural looking colors. Well done! Many thanks and kind regards,
Shelly

Hi Darren,

Well done! I like these abstract POV photos where the sun is just hidden. Awesome result - I like the shadow on the beach. Great job! TFS.

Another perfect example of your eye of creativity, Darren.
All this from a compact camera?

Nah....
The camera is a chisel, the photographer is the carpenter.
Stunning example of photographic genius.

Well done,

Martin
