[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While having coffee at a cafe this afternoon, I noticed this young woman opposite me, the way she was seated against a background of trees, her pose and her black hat made for a perfect picture. This was a very quick snapshot of her, I think it came out quite nicely.

I hope you like it, I don't normally apply effects to my images, but thought it would be an appropriate thing to do here, what do you think?
Thank you

The picture without the effects would most propably be very ordinary. The effects succeeded in capturing the expression in her face. It is a pity that the fingers were not cut out as well. It is worth while composing a picture like this just for and B/W sstill life. The lighting on the face is difficult to recreate in a studion... Good pic

Hi Mark!
She looks to be waiting for someone... The BG is very nice.
The framing is very creatively done.

Nice frame but also nice capture of the woman.
A good portrait. Thanks also to the woman for having posed unvoluntary :^)

Hi Mark,
I think you found a good effect, which was employed creatively, and fits to the "moment" you wanted to share with us.
Also, it is like when you are sitting in a tram travelling to somewhere, bored, and then you wipe the foggy window, look someone, and you feel, that for some reason this wil be the mildest moment of the day...

Thanks for sharing Mark, and do not protest the usage of effects, you used very creatively.

Cheers,
Marcie
