I had a fantastic weekend with wonderful friends, lots of sun, sand and salt! The weather was nice, friends were a blessing!
This is a shot of Surfside Beach in Freeport, Texas. This area was also damaged greatly by Hurricane Ike. But it is not a tourist area, so it's still a mess, after almost a year after the storm.
This year as been strange, a lot of northerly winds that make the surf more flat, and clear the water! We also have seen many many dolphins in the water too! But the heat has been intense, so we get up early and go and we are gone by noon!
I isolated the water only and clarified 10 points. Re-saturated and added a vignetting!
Hope you all have a great day!
Linda

Beaut shot again Linda - nice sky.. What can I add??

Hi Linda,
Crisp and clear sea scape, this could have bveen the coast of Holland! Excellent handling of the bright light. I think the horizon is reasonable level :-)
Hans

Hi Linda

Simple but beautiful shot of the sea and the sky.
Like the light glistening on the waves and the diagonal line of the waves across the shot.

Such a beautiful shot Linda, a very nice control of exposure here to retain the details of FG while having a dramatic sky at the same time. Well captured.

Hi Linder,
Yes,,,, the isolation to clarify the water works.. A great post here. Nice crystal clear details, good vertical POV and nice color tones. Good work. TFS Julie

Foto de buen colorido y gran profundidad
muy buen trabajo
un saludo

I think this looks faboulus Madam, myself Im born near the coast in the netherlands,so i can almost feel the tranquillity and hear the soft sounds of the sea and the cloudy sky.
A marvelous impression Madam.

Hi Linda,

Hope you are doing well. this image from you does indicate that. well a great seascape. good use of lighting here and the clouds at back adding to the image considerabely. also good colors and also good details.

Tfs.
Sanjib.

The lines created by waves have been excellently captured.
The clouds touching the waves and waves reaching out to viewer, all this is marvelous.
The picture is excellent ,only to see the different effect I have done a workshop.

Nazir

Hello Linda,
One could walk for eternity into this scene. You have captured beautiful light and the transparency of the water and sand combined makes for great colors.
One can imagine a soft breeze blowing across the beach, the smell of salt air to cleanse the lungs, and all the worries of yesterday washed away with the tides.
Love the clouds...
Steve

best regards.

Hi Linda,
This is wonderful! I love the warm yellowish tones here, feels like I'm in a dream :). Good capture of the small rolling waves, they look well frozen due to the nice fast shutter speed of 1/2500s. The CPL looks like it came in handy too, good definition with the clouds. Bravo!

TFS,
Scott.

Hi Linda,
So simple it is. Water (just a cup), a couple of clouds and a shovel of sand. You mix them and you turn them in such a beautiful receipe.
I like this level of saturation. Makes you feel the color.
Mes compliments madame.
Denis

Howdy, Linda -
Very sharp and clear image - I like the way the surf lines are at an angle within the frame. The wide angle gives a big, open feel to the image. Sky is marvelous. I can hear and smell the ocean and feel the sun ... so nice ... Great work.

man i wanna run and jump in! neat shot, great colors and detaisl, very nice take csare,
scott

You're not that bad, Linda!

A superb seaside view here, with excellent lighting contrasts & sharpness. Wonderful color, & nice reflections of the clouds in the waves. Good tonal range, & the diagonals add superb dynamism. Tfs!
