Uphagen's House-3rd Sand Sculpture Festival of Gdańsk: „Spirit of Gdańsk Architecture”.
In the summer of 2009, thirty two international master sand sculptors from around the world have created colossal sand sculptures featuring the old architecture of Gdansk City.
The work is rendered from three thousand tons of custom sand at the Jelitkowo Beach area on the Baltic Sea in Northern Poland.

The Uphagen's House is a reminder of the former greatness of Gdańsk. At one time it was one of many town houses. Today it is one where you can cross the threshold and see the furnishings and fittings of a late 18th century house. It is now part of the History Museum.
Bought in 1775 by Johann Uphagen, the town house was completely rebuilt by the master builder Johannim Beniemin Dreyer.

Uphagen moved into his new home along with his wife Agigail from the Borckman house on the evening of the 16th October 1779. The work on the inside took years and it was only in January of 1787 that Uphagen was able to invite guests to his living room, which was the last to be finished. Uphagen lived in this house until the day he died in November 1802.

In 1981, Uphagen's House was made part of the History Museum of Gdańsk. In June 1998 the building was opened to the public.
It is now the Museum of Townhouse Interiors and replicates a home of the late 18th century.
The Uphagen House is a museum, in which the rich interior of an 18th century Gdansk tenement building has been recreated.

Dom Uphagena-III Gdański Festiwal Rzeźby z Piasku: Duch Gdańskiej Architektury / Autorzy: Tomas Bosambo (Czechy), Jiri Genzer (Czechy), Stanislav Pokora (Czechy)

Dom Uphagena - powstał w latach 70. i 80. Taką funkcję pełni zabytek do dziś. Znaczna część pierwotnego wyposażenia przetrwała wojnę i w ostatnich latach została umieszczona w zrekonstruowanej kamienicy.
