Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias)

Captured at the Marais du Nord.

I was watching for quite a long time this heron fishing in the marshes of lake St-Charles, when I heard two walkers talking behind me. It was just enough to frighten him, and then he spread its wings to take off.

I had to remove some noise with Noiseware Community Edition.

Hi Michel,

I would love to capture a shot like this. Your patience paid off to catch him taking off. Good sharpness, with just a hint of motion blur in the wings to give a sense of movement. Nice work.

Regards,
Werner

Michel great capture and detail as it starts to rise in flight.
Not an easy capture as they can usually outweight you.

Donne moi tes impressions.
Gilles
