The Fire Hole River in spring runoff. The rapids, the movement, the sound of the river roar! A slow shutter speed shows the movement, the force and the power of the water. It has carved a canyon that only adds to its strength.

beautiful shot and good idea in black and white

Excellent photo of the rapids. Nice effect created by the slow shutter speed and the B&W finish, Charles.

Charles well done, I myself still can't manage that type of effect with the water.

I like this composition and the black and white really works for this shot. The longer exposure really allowed for an incredible DOF. TFS.
