Pleasant autumn shades looking down to the reservoir. A precarious POV, one fall lower than my previous post of this location, but worth the effort...a bright but cloudy day is ideal for lighting the rock face.

Nice shot Dougie - well chosen POV and great use of a relatively slow shutter speed... Maybe an ND grad to bring the exposure of the sky down a stop or two?

Edited to add I see you used the Cokin grad.. Just looks a little light on the hillside far right..

Cheers
DAvid

Bonjour Dougie,
Très bien choisi ce pov, j'aime beaucoup le dynamisme de la rivière qui nous emmène vers ce panorama. Les couleurs automnales jouent avec le relief, c'est vivifiant, naturel... bref reposant
Bonne journée

Hi Dougie

There are many shots of this view on TL, like your POV and composition here with the burn and rock dominating the foreground.
Nice colours at this time of year.

Hi Dougie,
What a stunning view you've captured here. I love how the water fall takes me on a journey into the photo toward the trees, along the building and onto the illimunated mountains in the back. Your exposure is superb, with excellent details and clarity. The colors are kept perfectly natural. Stunning job!
TFS,
Niek

Hello, Dougie.

Another fine shot of yours. Again, just like your last one on TE, you have obviously put in some effort to capture this one. If I remember correctly, the place from which you have taken this one is pretty precarious, just downstream from the little road bridge.

Beautiful lighting and fabulous colours, sharpness and detail.

Funny thing about Talla reservoir is that it always looks tilted to one side: I've noticed this on a few of my own pictures of it. Here, although I know that this picture is perfectly level, it does look as though there is a slope downwards from left to right. Might be ideal for water skiing? :o)

Thank you for sharing this beautiful shot, Dougie.

Best Wishes,

John.

Jeeze, Dougie,
this just made me smile when I opened it. PERFECT view, wonderful light and color, mad good detail and the shutter speed was just right to not make the water look unreal. Holy crap, that's a pretty shot. Well done! Many thanks and kind regards,
Shelly
