[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On Saturday morning I had to drive my daughter to catch a bus for her rowing competition at the ungodly hour of 3:00 a.m. Knowing that it would take me hours to get back to sleep, I decided to make some constructive use of that time by -- what else -- shooting some photos.

This one was taken from the 31st Street Bridge looking toward Downtown Pittsburgh. (The exif data shows 2:46 a.m. but it is off by an hour - I've got to fix that.) I chose the bridge because there would be little traffic at that hour and I less vibration to shake my tripod/camera rig. The city lights gave the overcast sky and slightly misty river an unusual quality.

Hi Sandy

Those yachts in the bottom right corner definitely remind me of Brisbane:

Good sharpness & nice reflections in this very eary morning / late nocturnal shot. Tfs!

Hi Sandy,
An amazing nocturnal cityscape with magnificent reflections on the water.
Very sharp shot with the boats in the FG adequately lighted with the available lighting.
Excellent exposure in this early hour!
Best regards,

Francis Xavier

Hi Sandy
beautiful view of Pittsburgh
very nice lights are presented.
have a nice weekend
Riste.

Good one Sandy. Who wants to be out and about at that hour, but you made the best of the opportunity.
Great night scene .. you can almost feel the relative quiet at that time of morning. Particularly like the smoothness of the water and the way it blends up into the shoreline, and under the bridge.
Great job
Trudy

Sandy
Congratulation for your capture and for your passion too!!! I not thought to take the camera in the night...but now I make that!

Hello Sandy,

Excellent night shot and very good composition.
Great lightness, colors and reflection in the water.

Best regards,
Tatjana

Hi Sandy,
Wow, early start! Looks like it was worth it though. I like the subtle reflections on the water from the buildings, surprising to see that many lights on at that hour. Good job to squeeze everything in, including the boats in the FG.

TFS,
Scott.

Hello Sandy

Some noise, But still a A+ image with the POV and sharpness.

Regards
Jimmy

I really like the composition with the water moving diagonally across the frame. The high iso used is showing a little noise but that is not really a big deal. Overall, another fantastic shot of the city. TFS
