Hello Everyone,

Don't be afraid ... it's only a photograph!

Last night, the village was alerted to the sounds of eerie cackling, flapping noises and haunting screams!

With great trepidation, I tiptoed from the house, camera in hand, just in time to focus on a weird vision emerging from behind the ghostly trees. A gnarled, dark witch flew rapidly into the sky, leaving a ghastly trail in her wake.

HERE is the evidence!
The stuff of nightmares!

Many thanks for sharing this experience.
Please feel free to feedback on ant aspect of the photograph!

A link to the witches of Pendle (the area in which I live) can be accessed here.

Hope you enjoyed the spoof.
I will be away on Hallow'een so thought I would share the haunting a little early! Bev :-)

Hi Bev
Are'nt you afraid your witch will hit a lot of branches trying to jump over the moon.....??
It has a dark somber mood, and you did a great job with the PP.
Looks like were were on the same wave length with our posts.
Dot

Ciao Bev, fascinating composition with fantastic atmosphere, brrrr, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hi Bev,
Wicked shot (no pun intended), awesome idea to frame the moon with the withered silhouetted tree branches. The vertical crop and central composition was a good choice too. A very suitable shot for this time of the year.

TFS,
Scott.

Good early morning Bev,
You certainly succeeded in creating a haunting image. The spreading branches of the regal tree with the moon is an appropriate Halloween posting. And that reminds me I need to get some candies for tonight's affair. I love your pp work. Cheers.
Danilo

Hi Bev,

Is this a self portrait?

A very clever photo and love the use of the silhouetted tree with the moon peeking through. The purplish tinge gives an erie effect.

Ralph

Good fun shot in the Halloween theme Bev. Love your little bit of humorous PP work.
Photographically, I might have cropped up just a little higher from the bottom, just to get rid of that little strip of land. Still a great shot.
Enjoy your weekend
Trudy

This would have been spooky, atmospherically Halloween without the witch, but she adds a touch of laughter to what would have been merely beautiful. I, too would have cropped out the horizon line on the bottom, as it distracts a little, but that's just me...
Regards,
Lois

Hi Bev

Good graphism of the gaunt old tree, with an excellent purple coloured monotone. Adequate sharpness (actually a little soft) & well framed & composed. Have a great weekend!
