took this shot while out with a fellow t/l menber Jonela and Don WE were going up across the ettrick swire road wich joins the ettrick and yarrow valleys .The old peel tower was a ruin 2 or 3 years back but has been brought back to a habital state by the new owners i love to see those old historical buildings being used again this was a good bit away from where we stoped so zoomed in quite a bit
shot in raw resized crop to give a more panoramic view
slight contrast and saturation adjust before uploading ty for looking

Hi Bryan,
A wonderful Autumn panorama adorned with the beautiful colors of the Season.
Lighting is marvelous and the POV is fantastic.
The central positioning of the castle fits beacause it's in the middle of the fields where they vary with color from green to rust color of Autumn.
Nice color tones.
Best regards,

Francis Xavier

Wonderful capture this old peel tower!
Great details and colors.

Hi Bryan

The stone tower, which is a key focal point, is a little too centred here. I'd probably crop from the right, to follow the rule of thirds. Also, the overall image has a slight reddish colour cast, & could be sharpened. But a good high pov, & an informative note. Tfs!

Hi Bryan
What a nice panoramic view and historical place
Great colors, contrast and POV
Have a nice days

Hi Bryan,
Great shot of the peel tower, I like the way yo have taken with the hills filling the frame. Good panoramic shot and PoV. TFS
Bri

Nice autum colouring - the original looks alittle too green IMHO the tower is a little too central I have done a workshop not to improve the shot necessarily but to present an alternative... I hope you like
warm regards
David

HI Bryan
I think if you had moved to the left a bit more your tower would not have been centered.
I definitely like your 2nd workshop better than the original.

When adding saturation in Paint, do it on another layer, you can then erase the parts that you want to keep in their original color otherwise doing it on the image the whole image goes yellowish.

Hi Bryan,
I like this image, for me it shows the remoteness of the Highlands, & the Old Peel Tower sure looks like it could be a cold dwelling, not to many places to let the sun shine in:)Is that a large ross near the doorway? I like the white of the cattle on the right hand side, they tend to balance off the largeness of the building

I like this one, for composition it might work better with subject a little more to one side (usually the right if possible) - even by cropping.
