It may be hard to believe but I have been trying to get this shot for over 18 mths.
I saw it as a poster in Auckland Airport 18 mths ago and thought "wow! where is that? - Mediterranean style houses on the beach with Rangitoto in the BG"
I drove round most of the streets in Devonport but couldn't find it. Last month going through the airport I saw the poster again and with the help of Google Earth and Street View I eventually found it. The houses are not visible from the road which is only 70m away from the beach.
(On reflection, I should just have asked Janice she would have known)
I had to go several times to get the timing right for the early morning sun and miss parked cars.
Imagine living with that view!

You should have asked me, I've been there but never with a camera. Persistance pays of in the end Jack and you finally get a wonderful photo.
What a sky. Your timing has seen the houses well exposed by the sun.
Well done.
