[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this 2 years ago with my tiny olympus, when I was started getting interested in photography.

Old Montreal is on a bit of a slope and this is one of the widest street close to the port.
It is a tourist attraction year round with its numerous restaurants and cobbled very narrow streets.

1-I fixed the barrel distortion using the skew command.
2-Increased the color of the sky and the dome
3-selective color on the building
4-saturation on the trees
5-Cropped and sharpened

Hi Dot,
I think a fine shot
despite the tiny Olympus.
You have captured the natural
mood and colours.
Have a nice day.

Hi Dot!

This is lovely photo! I like the mood, and PoV. When I pulled up the gallery, this photo drew my eye and it was the first one I opened. I must visit Canada someday. Very well done my friend!

Dot,

I like the combination of architecture and daily life.
Excellent lead, easily draws you to the whole perspective.

TFS...Ramon

Hi Dot,

I like your POV in this photo, it feels as if we're riding in a carriage behind the one pictured. The use of partial saturation in your pp work creates an interesting retro mood, which suits the title well. The second dome has an interesting statue atop it. TFS

Warm regards,
Werner

Hi Dot,
A nice soft romantic cabby ride round the city in such a peaceful environment.
Very sharp capture of this cityscape.
A great use of the Graduated Tint filter and other PP work.
Very neatly presented.

Francis Xavier

Hello Dot,

Although from your photographic 'infancy', this shot shows your natural ability to selct useful p'sov and to compose well.
The converging lines create a strong lead, giving the impression that the carriage is moving into the shot.
That bright orange reflector is well placed and really brings a grey day to life.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Interesting pov - looks like a lovely avenue Nice pp work The only criticism I would make is that there should possibly be a little more space at the top of the dome Nice historic shot :-)
TFS
warm regards
David

Hello,

génaile comme elle penche la calècher, dans cette belle rue, la perspecive, un cadrage parfait avec la végétation et ce beau bâtiment, fantastique.

Bravo et amitié

Hello DOT

I may try a workshop. Hope you don't mind. The fg tones seem a little muddy. But well composed, & with nice old vs new contrasts, between the cars, & horse & cart. Merci et amicalement!

Merhaba dear Dot...
çok güzel bir mimari, kubbedeki uyum harika...
güzel bir açıdan alınmış harika bir kare, tebrikler...selamlar

Hello Dot,
I have the same cam which I sometimes carry in my car for unplanned events. The low pov is good, the image is sharp. It is good to see old Montreal. Regards
Danilo

Hi, Dot.This is a beautiful composition of Old Montreal and the horse carriage adds to the interest. The photo is sharp, well composed and goes very well with the framing. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

Oh, Dot,
I love the atmosphere in this one. You did a great job with the PP and those soft misty colors are wonderful. Pretty incredible detail under the conditions and I especially like the lines of the sidewalk drawing the eye in. I love this shot. (and I spent one of the greatest New Year weekends in my LIFE in Montreal...It was fantastic!) Many thanks and warmest wishes,
Shelly
