Beech D.17S

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The Beech D17S Staggerwing with a real contrasting yellow wing against the clear blue sky flies past at the Duxford Air show earlier in the year.
The only reason i took this shot was due to the totally vibrant colours.
I was more interested in the warbirds that were taking part, but i had to submit to this one.
I just waited for the plane to get nearer and nearer to fill the frame, using the 70-200mm then took the shot. A polarizing filter was fitted to add saturation
For the upload, in Aperture 2
contrast 0.03
Sharpening intensity 0.66
Sharpening radius 1.00
Saturation 1.10 to exaggerate the wing colour and reds on the tailplane
Resized and uploaded,
Cheers

Great choice - probably showed better than the warbirds! Perfect blues contrasted with the yellow wings and tail.

Nice sharp detail and vivid colours, you captured the blur of the propellor well, well done.
Hello,
Fantastic shot!
Excellent colors and beautiful light.
Nice focus on this foreground plane, sharpness is fine and I like the blurred effect of the moving propeller as well.
