[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This place is near Portmarnock, just north of Dublin on Ireland's east coast. It's a popular spot for swimming and also for fishing.

As for the photo, it was taken in the evening (around 9 pm). I scanned from the original print, with some post processing added (contrast increased, unsharp mask applied, cropping & resizing) in oder to upload it to the web.

This could be a nice photo if the details would be sharper (I guess this is due to the crop and the scan).

I would suggest you to use the selective color to bring down a litle bit the black (this will compensate for the lack of the color on the ladder due to the scan), and put some increase yellow, to heat up the scene. :)

Wonderful light on this. The background is a bit overexposed which I think could be improved with curves. I'll try a little W/S to see.

Interesting composition and nice colours. It's just a pity that the focus isn't crisp. Nice photo!
