dude that is awesome! I want to learn how to do that. Look at that sky. The 77mm Circular Polarizer, is that what creates the wide fish eye type effect? Tripod or no? Great job with just the cabs being brought into color. I'm marking this one as a favorite.

very interesting shot.. and a good effort to make everything bw but the cabs. i realy like it, and how the road almoste bends in this picture.. great picture and great effort.. grats!

Brilliant post Urs,
The POV and sharpness of the shot are spot on. the selective desaturation is spot on.
Great capture, thanks for posting

Very good composition Urs. Very good idea to keep the yellow cabs only. I like it a lot.

Excellent job, my company's New York office is directly across the street from MSG, thanks for posting and the effect is awesome...

Greg

Very nice, Urs! Really brings the flavor of New York to us. Good work!

really great picture...and a reminder that a polarizer can produce some great atmosphere. I'll take a look at your portfolio after seeing this one.

beautiful trichrome picture, very good POV with wide angle, I was searching for the subject, taxis, Mrs Smith, the strange sky... I don't know.

Fabulous! Very nice picture Urs, I like it a lot. A lot of work!
Best regards
Guy

Outstanding.

Hello Urs,
The idea with these traditional NY's yellow cabs is amazing. Very good composition!

Best Regards,

Hi Urs,

Great shot, but as you say alot of work.

Try the new nikon capture NX, the u-point technology is amazing saving all that masking downtime, i have been trying the 30 day trial it's brilliant, even for canon user's

Kind regards
Douglas

it seems like a lot of pp-work - but it worked ou because it looks great ! good choice with the wide angle objective ! great picture especially the emphasis on the yellow cabs is great !
