[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [Polish]
Along the strand stones,
busted shells, wood scraps,
bottle tops, dimpled
and stainless beer cans.
Something began here
a century ago,
a nameless disaster,
perhaps a voyage
to the lost continent
where I was born.
Now the cold winds
of March dimple
the gray, incoming
waves. I kneel
on the wet earth
looking for a sign,
maybe an old coin,
an amulet
against storms,
and find my face
blackened in a pool
of oil and water.
My grandfather crossed
this sea in '04
and never returned,
so I've come alone
to thank creation
as he would never
for bringing him home
to work, defeat,
and death, those three
blood brothers
faithful to the end.
Yusel Prishkulnick,
I bless your laughter
thrown in the wind's face,
your gall, your rages,
your abiding love
for women and money
and all that money
never bought,
for what the sea taught
you and you taught me:
that the waves go out
and nothing comes back.

Innovative and unussual. Good choice of B/W.

Compliments!

Excellent picture! I like the effect and the B&W a lot! It makes for an very interesting composition.

I just wonder, how did you do it (photoshop? If so, how?) :)

Gareth

Cool post processing. Great idea. You did a good job. JP

It's a good idea, and it's been executed well. B&W is also a good choice here.

Toni

Wow that is some amazing PP work here. I commend you for your effort. Thanks for sharing this one.

Very creative, clever even, just the way the white frame was added gives an unfinished feeling...
Still worth a lot of respect !

Great creative work Lukasz. Just not sure about the white border. If maybe it was somewhat smoother the image would really shine that much more. However, the perspective and depth is great. Well done on the PP work, well done.

Witaj Luki,

Tchnie prostata i spokojem.

dimeola

Stunning. It took some time to get the full impact of the picture. Amazing pp work Lukasz. Can you share the trick with us? :-))

Top marks for presentation Jajko! This is very unusual and you have done a great job. Regars, Pat.

haha! great effect! this just STOOD out from all the other photos on the page... i like the idea of the boat standing out from the rest of the photo, it's like the boat refuses to die! i like the B&W effect, makes it appear more desolate (for lack of a better word). I wonder though, how it would look in color... cheers!
