[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken on one of the increasingly rare days when it rains in Melbourne. We haven't had much lately, despite the city's reputation of being able to have four seasons-worth of weather in one day.

This photo was taken looking north down Swanston St, which is one of the major streets in Melbourne, in the early morning.

PP: contrast and lighting adjustments, desaturation.

i like very much such rainy atmosphere, i even can feel changes of temperature in a rainy time, very good exposen image, and reflections, some real blur, pov with lights in a far away from photographer.
very good composition and whole work just great.
i added your image,Peter in a theme of clovestar "rainy days"
hope you don't mind.

A well composed moody image, I worked on it, hope you like it, (*_*)

I love shots taken in the rain. Somehow wet surfaces come to life. Although the image is rather on the dark side, I did see Magda's workshop, and yes, this is a good shot.

Hi Peter,
Nice shot. Good composition with the vanishing point away from center. And also like how you have that man exitting the frame to the right. The exposure looks good, too...looks like it was a dark, time... Well done.
Take care.
Richard

Peter,

The somberness of the scene is very telling. I would prefer to see a bit more contrast as a b&w. imho there needs to be a greater spread of the zones. Rather than do this as a color, I have done a workshop in b&w. Not sure it changes that much.
