[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the adminitraction building at Walt Disney World. It is called 'Team Disney'. I don't think this image statisfies the rules of 3rd's but I was trying to capture both the structure and the clouds. Let me know what you think and how I might improve it.

thanks

I like the composition, nice colour great reflections in the window. Fantastic detail on the flag it creates contrast between the crisp sharpness of the buildings

Well done

Forget about the rules of 3rd Jeff, it's surely a nice composition, the round shaped building in the centre, the flag, the blocks building and teh texture of the clouds, well done, TFS

Welcome to TrekLens, Jeff! While your photo may not follow the rule of thirds, I think it's still effective. The scene is divided roughly in half. The division isn't a straight line like a horizon (which, placed in the middle can sometimes be awkward), but by an interesting line made up of several angles. In the bottom half, there are hard, well-defined lines, straight lines, arcs, angles, etc. In the upper half it's all puffy and nebulous. Color-wise, it's interesting as well, with the image again divided into two distinct color "themes." In other words, it's not necessary to always follow the rule of thirds. While an extremely valuable composition guideline, there are other effective compositions like what you have presented. I think you've done very well with this Jeff, and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Cheers,
- Bob

Hi Jeff. Welcome to TL. This is really well done. I like very much the graphics in this pic. You also have a nice sky with big clouds.

Well composed and well seen.

Take care, Yan
