I took this shot in a fishing village in Tai O, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. Although everyone knows Hong Kong as a very densely populated island-city, there is still a traditional place in the corners of Hong Kong. The fishing village I visited is still very much traditional in its own means. The inhabitants are poor fishermen, mainly descendant from chinese settlers that came to that island many years ago. And they still keep their traditional way of life.
If you ever happen to be in Hong Kong, be sure to pay a visit to Tai O, it's worth the while.
I shot this picture through a infrared filter, hence the long exposure. The long exposure makes the water very calm and serene, almost mirror-like. I then swap the colour in ususal manner, just pushing the hue a bit bluish to help the mood. |

I like the bluish color. It's calm and peaceful.
It's not easy to take a long exposure picture lile this, since it not just smoothed the water surface but also quite often blured the boats. However, the boats in this picture are still sharp enough. Well done Sebastian.
