~3 Primary Companions~

The 3 primary colors disguised as buckets .....enjoying a view of the ocean while on this fine relaxing day. They were there for hours and hours just right by each others side never waivering for the hot Florida sun. They were shy about being photographed....but I had this one chance while they were not looking and......here they are. I'm glad they got to spend some time starring off into the hypnotizing sound and view of the ocean.

pp-full frame I'm pretty sure....Desat and history brush..
Frame and signature. You know I guess I could of painted the middle bucket all blue like it's lid, but then that would be manipulation....hehe :O) These are their actual colors.
Thanks,
michael

Cute story to go with the pic. Creative desaturation.

Colored versus B&W is so precise! The eyes capt immediately the 3 colors details. Very nice and well presented!

What a fun picture with a very light mood, Michael. The little buckets in colours just make me want to smile and also go to the beach. Well done!

I realy love this one. You can sense the childen just outside of the frame.

Very creative work. Good you got this in black and white....It has completely changed the way we would otherwise look at this photo. This is good work.

Michael,

Looks like a good day at the beach, nice waves rolling in for the skim boaders and body surfers.

I like the color against the b&w.

Owesome shot Michael, very clever idea, it just make the buckets look so out standing with those bright colours, excellent composition, contrast and POV. Well captured, thanks for sharing. :)

I'm pleased that they (the buckets) had a good time Michael! It's also great that you were able to capture this moment so well for them, so that they could remember the good times in the future. Congratulations!

hello Michael. the sea and the waves are splendid. For the three colors what I regret a little is the poverty of blue.
It conceals perhaps desired like it does not have there sky.
JP

Shy? They look a bit silly being there without without their use, some nice kinds to play with, one should be gathering water and the other should contain some sand. That's how they will consume hours of time, and how they create a world of their own... a lovely day at the beach.

A very nice photo, all the elements like the waves in the background are just in the right "position", pleasing view of the beach,
See you again Michael, Richard

The buckets just relaxing. Nice play between color and b&w. mann im seeing a lot of nice pictures today, ones that remind you of when your really young. If there were no buckets, i wouldnt have cared, because the picture is nice anyways! but the buckets just boosts up the picture!

good framing and pov.

Your idea to colour the buckets and let the rest of the photo B&W, is perfect. Simple but effective frame.

:-)))
this photo made me remember my childhood and those summers in the beach!!
love the perspective and the pp work you made here...
Beautiful one!

Beautiful picture Michael, I am like you, I don't like manipulation. I prefer to see a picture the way it is. I don't mind about cropping, sometimes we have no choice, but I prefer a picture the way it was taken. Your picture is very well composed. I like the b&w and the three primary colors on the ground, very well done! The waves in the back are very nice.
Best regards
Guy

What a well composed scene Michael. The colourful buckets and spade all alone in the black and white moving action shot. Great results, well done. I do like this very much, thank you.

Great composition. The colours give weight and great contrast with B&W.

I was explaining the principles of composition to my step-son & step-daughter last night and covered the 'rule of thirds' and the fact that groups of 3 objects were also important. I hadn't seen this one until this morning but - there it is;
three distinct waves (OK - 4 but the 4th is a weaker one ... help me out here!)
three buckets
Three rules, OK?
Nice one.

he he!i love your note!great composition!very interesting ideea to put the 3 colours on b/w!
