Hello Marco,

very dark and haunting image. Very much like the red and amber highlights. I would be interested in how these were achieved.

Composition is very good. Perhaps the red highlight on the shoulder is a little rich though.

Lucian

Very intense picture Marco. You have managed a beautiful play of light here - the red and yellows on the face and on the shoulder are quite adding to the mood.
Great job
Mukesh

Outstanding portrait Marco, your look is really deep and light makes something mysterious mood to the pic.
Well done
Edie

ciao Marco :-) senso un po' di tristezza in questo ritratto.. come sei turbato e senza sonno per qualche problema pesando sulla mente.. sono stata in questo posto mi stessa spesso..

i really like this portrait. great soft light and very still and simple yet full of emotion.. and like i say possibly sadness too.. as Lucien says, haunting.. but let's hope with the new day will come the sun again :-)

spero tutto va bene con te Marco, sai che io arrivo in italia tra poco piu' di 2 settimane?? non vedo l'ora ^_^

take care!
Ayda

Hi marco,
amazing portrait very nice, the lightening is perfect,
maybe that red light is for me too red near your eye, because it add that you are looking sad...
bye

beautiful lighting. The touch of red REALLY adds a lot to the photo. Good composition too! Great job. JP

Hmmmmmm....why wait when you can change your perspective? :O)
That's quite a worried, saddend intense look in your eye, Marco.
The 1/4 of the face visible with the red highlight accent with a dash of yellow is effective. Unusual comp with all this black but works for the mood, feeling of your expression. I only wish the rest of your face had a little more focus(your shoulder seems to be the sharpest point) and maybe your eye on more of the thirds plane...but only for suggestion for I do like this comp.
No pp work on this...I feel the left side black was added in or darkend more with pp. The hard line of black against you shoulder and face show this and some jaggies towards your eye/eyebrow. I like this image Marco only contstructive criticism here.
Nice work on this self-portrait.

Hello Marco it's the second time that I come back to this portrait. It's stunning, seems a man who is in deep taught, or a man who is under a load of pressure. The red trace adds more weight to the pressure that is real or a figment of your immagination. perfetto come ritratto.

Perfeita imagem!

Nice light, colors and expression.
Excellent portrait!

Interesting and very different self-portrait from what we see normally on TL, Marco. The red & yellow lights had quite a lot of mystery to this portrait as well as the fact that we can only see 1/4 of your face as the rest is in the dark. Very powerful self-portrait. Excellent!

ciao, Marco!
Indeed an unusual self portrait.
Beautiful lighting and effect.
Cheers.. and grazie!

Hi Marco
Lovely model and very interesting light - it flatters his face and body very much.
Thanks for sharing

Mi piace molto il giocco tra il modello e il titolo.
Interesssnate idea. Grazie.
buona giornata Aga

A very dark portrait, with very sad undertones. The lack of smile, the shadow creeping over half of teh face and the yellow and red light...Perhaps symbolising the infernal fires of today's chaotic lives?

I don't know...I like it though!
Keep it up Marco
