[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A storm had just passed our house - on one side an amazing full rainbow - on the other side the clouds lit by an amazing setting son.

The houses in the original were very dark , the clouds yellow. I selected the sky, made the sky bluer, the clouds more yellow, adjusted curves. I picked the houses and played around with curves to keep them dark but more vibrant.. I wanted to downplay the "burbs" and perceived conformity, uniformity and mediocrity - and juxtapose it with the brilliant sky and its complexity

Wonderful sky, and the contrast with the old houses is great. Well done Yoram!

I like the framing and the sky (for the most part). Nice idea, but there are things about it that bother me a bit. The colours aren't quite natural (and not quite unnatural enough to make me think that natural wasn't what you were going for). There's alot of pixelation on the houses, and what's with those strange horizontal lines coming from the houses into the sky (on the right).

As I said Yoram, I think the idea is great and I think the orig pic prob has what is needed for a cool shot. Let me suggest taking the orig, convert to b/w, select the houses and put them on a diff layer than the sky. Adjust the curves/layers on both: for the houses I suggest a pure silouette--no details, for the sky 1st adjust layers then go for high contrast. I'd do a WS but my photoshop is bust at the moment so I'm not able to do much.

Anyways, I do like the pic!

Very nice view Yoram! I like the clouds colors here!
Well done!
