Nicely spotted and captured! There is a certain athmosphere in this photo, a very positive one to me. It kind of reminds me of a warm summer day, fresh wind at apron area, enthuastic aviation guys ...

Enviable POV Matthew.
Again, in the UK, all or most of the static aircraft are roped off from public access, so we rarely manage shots like these.

I love the F4U, and it usually partakes in the Duxford Warbirds figher meet.

I love the way you've managed to capture the helmet, and the folded wing in the shot works well.

Very accurate colouring too. The navy blue is represented well in the image.
