[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Well guys, I am back. I was kinda getting stuck in a rut with my photography, posting, critiquing et cetera. I decided to delete my previous work both from TL and my hard-drive. It's gone, archived, but gone. My PBase account and .Mac Pages suffered the same fate. Out with the old, in with the new!

I have been doing quite a bit of reading and travelling latley, so hopefully my work may have improved. I am sure that my direction and vision has.

Expect more landscapes, more portraits, less PP. Expect more detailed critiques containing my honest opinion, just less of them. If you critique me, I will critique you. I wish for your critiques to be HONEST. Please don't tell me that you like something without telling me why. If you don't like something, tell me... I won't hesitate to tell you.

I will also browse the welcome gallery every now and them as well as the Gallery-Gallery.

This shot was taken in Texas early in the morning. I was sitting next to my uncle was was busy smoking a foul cigar pretending to be fishing. The lake was so Beautiful that morning. I took over 200-shots. I love digital!

Feedback Always Welcome

Take Care,

Lance

Hi Lance,
Nice shot! Very blue and very serene. The colors look great and well exposed. It all looks good. Just for me, I would've pushed the horizon up to the top 1/3 because the water is so blue and has a lot of richness in it. Anyhow, good shot. And welcome back to TL!
Take care.
Richard

Nice shot!
The mist gives a tremendous atmosphere!
Just wished the photo was a little bit brighter (maybe taking the shot a few minutes later).
Nevertheless, great image!

Hi Lance! Welcome back! I thought you were gone for good!

Well, if this is an example of your new direction, I'm all for it! Love the blues, the soft curves of the mountains & the reflections in the water, the mist rising, and the wonderful accent/focal point of the A-frame and its light. This is just a really beautiful capture, and good use of the PP - not overdone, just enough to make your point.

Really, really nice, Lance!

this is great..... and points are for this picture but also for the courage to restart again and again.......
about this... my feeling is a picture about memory, abstraction of memory......
well done
Paolo

Hi Lance... a new start...and a very good new start! :) I like the way the mist is fondling the water! :)) well done!

Hi Lance,

Nice to have you back!
And with a wonderful shot! I like a lot the deep blue tones and the smoke coming out of the water gives a nice atmosphere.
God comp and excellent use of existing background. The yellow light beside the little house makes this a wonderful scene.

Very well done!

take care, Stefania :))
