Hi Lance,
Nice shot. Good composition. Good that you didn't end any of the rail arms in the corners. This place does look deserted and quiet. Moody shot with the stillness of the water and fog. This shelter kind of reminds me of an arbor (like a wood and lattice kind)...the similarity to it...arbors aren't really good if you're just standing alone...how desolate. Good catch. One suggestion... maybe...next time...try going wide on a shot like this...show us more of the emptiness...see if that doesn't work for you.

You know, I think that's one reason we love photography so much - it enables us to share things that have touched us with other people. You're right - it is lonely when there's no one to share an important or beautiful moment with us.

This is my kind of shot (again!). I'm enjoying these lake pictures. Keep 'em coming!

It's a beautiful image Lance, usually a PP work is not required with a talented guy behind the camera. The image is technically strong, the fog, the colours of the sky is correctly exposed as intended but I feel that a little more breathing space at the top of the image is required.

I like this moody picture with the fog and the pink & blue sky. It's a very calm and quiet moment. Great composition, I like this peer that with the ramp that lead our eyes toward the covered shelter. TFS

Another, a beautiful image. Nicely composed and good lines. colours and light are very very nice and soft and, again, the fog coming from the water gives a nice touch.

Great image - nearly full low-key (the sky is a bit to light for me for a 100% low-key image).

Also I like the idea of having the lead-in line coming from the right - usually it starts at the bottom left corner. By starting here from the bottom right corner, you enhance the mystery in the image. Composition and colour and tones are well balanced to enhance the atmosphere.

Have you tried to crop out the sky in total? Could also work well then.

The theme is not so interesting but you can present it interestingly.
The fog add mystery for the picture. The mainland is dark and the background is bright, and it is good.
