[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is in a factory in Linyi that I visited for plywood. I was appalled at the working conditions and the quality of the goods. In amongst the machines and wood, there were these 2 bikes with a pair of white shoes.

I sharpened, adjusted levels and desaturated to muted tones. i was thinking of selecting the shoes and making them whiter - but did not in the end. I like the lines of this shot and overall tone

Shot with my crappy digital camera - panasonic.. so it is a relatively small image

Interesting shapes here Yoram. I don't think the colour helps it much though. I would try this one in b/w too (I find that pics that are about shape are enhanced by b/w). Select things that interest you and play with curves. I also suggest adding some noise.

BTW to create a new layer in PS (as you asked in your forum ques) just make a regular selection then right click and choose "copy to new layer." Now you can play with this part of the pic without affecting the rest.

I like this compo for differents reasons : shapes, color, nice equilibrium, the V shape given by the bikes. Very nice. Bravo.

I like the colors and the composition. The dulls colors transmit your feelings about the working conditions perfectly.
