[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a portrait of a friend taken at a birthday party with out her knowing it . I tried to be spontaneous and get a natural reaction to the music playing . I tried to use Manny's help in order to work on this photograph .
I duplicated the layer.
Next, I softened the top layer using Filter/Blur/Gaussian.
I then go to Layer/Add Layer Mask/Reveal All.
Using a brush with an opacity of 100 (or you can adjust it, I brush off some parts to reveal the sharper version of the lower layer. This includes the eyes, nose and lips...and also the hair.
When satisfied, I then go to Layer/Flatten Image.

This is a good potrait Jim. I am sure your friend liked it. He he, i could see the "hands of Manny" in this, before reading your note. The softening on the face. :) Your compo is very good i think. You left a good deal of space for her to look in to, good. And the background isn't distracting.
