Girl Behind the Bar
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
In this photo I tried to reflect how I sometimes look at particular situations, isolating the part that interests me most, in this case the girl behind the bar :) Whilst the foreground elements were quite interesting in themselves, it was she who held my attention.
This is a technique I will try to improve on, as I really enjoy discovering these moments!
Desaturation is only one way of isolating particular elements of a photo, but in this case I think it is the best option. Can anyone think of another way? |

Good mix and effect to isolate the main interest while giving character to the foreground. Good work!

Nice PP work. Interesting contrast with the subject. B&W works very well.
Nice image, Rob. I like how you left not only the woman in color, but her immediate surroundings. I also like her facing *away* from the camera - it adds a little mystery to the photo. As another method of isolating the girl as subject, you could have thrown everything in the foreground out of focus, and kept her sharp, but I like your results here. Well done!
rob,
the idea works for me,and the compo as well.b&w and colored part are really nice together.
