[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a picture of my Yamaha APX 6a Electric acoustic guitar, I am always looking for different ways to photograph an object, this was shot from the neck of the guitar down, I didn't get the DOF I was really looking for, but after numerous attempts settled for this picture.
I desaturated the top half of the image to give it a more depthy feel, sharpened it a little and added a black and gold border.

Ok I'll critique your stuff hard I love the angle is great I would have liked to have seen the entire circle of the guitar you just barely cut if off and the "beads" or balls on the end of the fret should be in the shot because the 6 leading lines of the neck leads the eye to the top of the frame and its cropped off. I like the desaturation on the neck and a lot of the image seems soft , which is fine if thats what your going for. If more was in focus I think you would have had more critiques and a higher score on this shot.

Mark I like this musical shot very much. It could only be done by someone who likes music...;-) congrats! and thanks for your nice comments about my macros;-))

Your's guitar looks vell then my :) Thank you for opinion of my pic.

The idea is fantastic...wish I had thought of it, myself. The only "negative" point is that it's cropped too much on the left and right...you cut off the circle of the guitar "hole" (Or whatever you call it!)But, all together a great shot!

Missed that one. Nice photo Mark.The perspective is interessing and the DOF is very good. I like this photo. Well done.

La guitare, j'aime. Je me suis brûlé les doigts au début, maintenant la corne s'est installée et cela va beaucoup mieux. Je joue également du piano et de la batterie.
Très belle composition Mark, j'aime le côté artistique de la prise de vue et du travail photographique.
