[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It is the time of year when the sun is a rare visitor. And when he visits it is sometimes more rewarding to shoot the thing itself than to look for something it casts light on. This was a late afternoon and I was (once again) in the car, stopped at a red light, and facing the sun. I leaned out of the window and got one frame before the light changed.
I have posted the original in a workshop, because although I like the original (as it turned out after rotating, fixing, sharpening, resizing, noisefiltering and adding borders)I decided to add a manual colour correction (a fixed setting in PSP called Pure Colours where you have to chose the colours you want enhanced) to go for a heavier mood. Maybe it became too dark. You tell me.

I like what you did in PP, Per! Really enhances the colours and adds drama to an already good shot. Great gradient in the background. Even the over-sharpness in the tree seems to work. Nice job!

wow
very dramatic scene!
Well done

Amazing picture, Per. You started from a very good picture and turned it into something even better. I like everything about this picture, the big huge sun, the colours, the silhouette of the house and the big tree. Well done!

Unfortunately, I have run out of goodies for the day!

I do like this better than the original Per. Excellent composition and the colours are very dramatic. Well done, thank you.

Both wonderful pictures Per but I agree the PP shot is more dramatic. TFS.

I like the dramatic enhancement of some of the warmer colours, Per, even though it appears to have caused some noise as well. I like sunsets & sunrises, but combined with another favourite of mine (leafless tree branches against the sky) it can't go wrong. Excellent. I like both versions equally. TFS.

He Per,
Een pracht van een sfeerbeeld. Alleen Sinterklaas ontbreekt.

Bonjour Per.
Très belle photo du jeu d'iombre et de lumière. Mais ici je pense que le soleil est encore un peu fort pour le photographier de face. Autrement excellente photo.
